Service to Seniors/ Youth of Year Awards
June 17: Linda Buell, Program Chair, as always did a marvelous job of putting this rewarding event together. And Mike Condon again prepared a superb stuffed chicken entrée . XC members attending and helping to serve: Cyndi Hatem, Evan Chaisson, Don Campbell, Steve Zanni, Ron Hatem, Brad Jones, Mass. Rep. Linda Dean-Campbell, Ted Varitimos, Greg Debrocke, Ken Willette, Art Hutton, Jack MacLeod. And XC member Sen. Steve Baddour was represented his staff.

Honored were: Student Alexander Kingsley, Senior Bernie Brown, Student Stephanie Chaisson (absent due to illness was Student Alyson Traficante)

In addition to the drawings for the extra chicken dinners at the end of the night (always a “treat” for the seniors), the Methuen Exchange Club this year added their own special appreciation to the drawings: 10 individual gift certificates worth $20 each at Market Basket. Once the word gets out to all the Methuen Seniors about the drawings for chow and chow-cash, we may have to move the annual event to a larger venue, like Boston Garden or Gillette Stadium!

This is always a wonderful day for all. 100+ kids got treated to their choice: hot dog, hamburger, cheeseburger, Polish sausage, water melon, corn-on-the-cob, chips/doritos.
